Analyst: Google Not Working on iPhone Killer
March 25, 2007
It appears that the much-hyped Google Phone will have to remain a fantasy for now. Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster has gone on the record stating their beliefs that the company is working on software to run services on cell phones, nothing more.
“We believe Google is working with, not against, Apple in the mobile world,” Munster explained in a research note to clients. This would seem to corroborate what the Google has previously publicly stated.
“Mobile is an important area for Google and we remain focused on creating applications and establishing and growing partnerships with industry leaders to develop innovative services for users worldwide. However, we have nothing further to announce,” a spokesperson said last week.
Don’t worry…we’re sure the rumors will surface again soon enough.

Well it doesnt take rocket science to figure out that google has simeply run out of ideas! They’re out of gas and just like Microsoft,…in a last ditch to remain on top, they’re “diversifying”. you can’t do too many things and do’em well. If you’re a search icon….finesse that position. But when you start doing too many things……..then you’re not focused. The result of this has been googles slow downturn in the search arena. LiveSearch and Yahoo have been chwing into it’s market at unprecedented levels…..so..
lets see what happens.
