Miley Cyrus On Hannah Montana Ticket Fakeout: Not Cool
January 27, 2008
Miley Cyrus was not happy when she learned that a contest winner wrote a story in which she lied about having a father who died in Iraq in order to score free Hannah Montana concert tickets.
After all, there are millions of fans who desperately want to see the teen star on stage, and it’s particularly sleazy to bring up fake dead dads in order to cheat one’s way to winning. Of course, once exposed, the girl did have her prizes taken away from her
“I was really kind of upset. I mean, that’s just not a cool scenario,” Cyrus told Good Morning America in an interview that will air tomorrow. “But it just shows what people will do for a ticket.”
Miley is fully aware about the lengths that fans have to go in order to see her in concert legitimately, and it motivates the Hannah Montana star into giving her all into every single show she does.
“People are paying thousands and thousands of dollars to come see one show. So we have to give 120 percent each time,” she explained.
Mike Comrie Talks Hilary Duff Relationship
January 27, 2008
You’d think that Mike Comrie, center for the New York Islanders, has to deal with a lot more paparazzi than your average NHL hockey player.
After all, his girlfriend is Hilary Duff. He showers her with humble gifts such last year’s $100,000 Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV birthday present, which certainly sparks the interest of the press.
Surprisingly, Comrie says that when he’s with Hilary Duff is when he’s truly able to escape the constant scrutiny.
“I guess I’m contradicting myself a bit, but I can duck out when I’m with her,” he recently told the Edmonton Journal. “I’m not in a city with a million people where they’re all keeping an eye on what you do. She’s in a business where her fans want to know what she’s doing in her day-to-day life and I realize and understand that. I guess that comes with dating someone in that business.”
And from all indications, he’s still head over heels for the pop star.
“Things are still great,” he gushed. “We’ve been pretty serious since the summer. She’s a good person. She does a lot of things for charity, a lot of things people don’t know.”
Amy Winehouse Checks In To Rehab
January 25, 2008
Amy Winehouse is now in rehab, and not a second too early. She had allegedly been caught on video smoking from a crack pipe just a few days ago.
After all the media frenzy, the immensely talented singer, who has had a slew of personal problems, finally gave in and entered a treatment facility to try to kick her drug habit once and for all.
Apparently, she won’t be out of the public eye for too long, since Universal Music Group is saying that she’s still going to perform at the Grammys on February 10.
“Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors,” UMG said in a statement.
“She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction.”
Winehouse is up for six Grammys, including album of the year for Back To Black.
