Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana Co-Star Talks Controversy

While the famous Vanity Fair cover featuring Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus in an arty pose was revealed almost a month ago, there’s still no end of people talking about the controvesry.   

Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, who plays rival Ashley Dewitt on the Disney show, recently talked to US Magazine about her conversations with Cyrus about the situation.

Perez de Tagle said that Miley confided that people looking at the pictures critically “really hurt her inside,” and that “she didn’t know that people would look at it like that.”

Cyrus had apologized soon after the Vanity Fair issue had hit the shelves.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” she said in a statement back on April 28.

“I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
