Report: Brad Pitt Talking Inglorious Bastards With Quentin Tarantino
July 10, 2008
It looks like Quentin Tarantino has yet another big star rumored to be in talks to join Inglorious Bastards, his upcoming war movie.
As early as 2001, when Tarantino brought up the project, he envisioned a superstar lineup with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Eddie Murphy, and Adam Sandler as well as Tarantino vets like Tim Roth and Michael Madsen playing key roles.
But that was then, and this is now. According to Deadline Hollywood, there’s at least one new name to add to the list of potential stars: Brad Pitt.
“I’ve confirmed Quentin Tarantino is talking to Brad Pitt to star in Inglorious Bastards, the writer/director’s newly unveiled script being shopped right now to 4 Hollywood studios: Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount and Sony,” Nikke Finke is reporting.
Pitt has had some experience working with QT’s words before — he brilliantly portrayed Floyd, a stoner to the hilt, in the QT-penned True Romance. Tony Scott directed.
