Barack Obama Still Rumored To Pick Evan Bayh For Vice President Slot
August 5, 2008
As the hours count down until Barack Obama and Evan Bayh make a joint appearance in Indiana Wednesday, the question on everybody’s mind remains: Will Obama make the Indiana Senator as his running mate?
If Huffington Post blogger Bill Browning is to believed, the answer is a resounding yes.
He asserts that “Barack Obama will announce his vice-presidential choice Wednesday morning. It will be Indiana Senator Evan Bayh.”
Among his reasons for the pick include a cryptic message from the Obama campaign inviting Browning to a secret event that’s not on the candidate’s official agenda.
“I can’t tell you what the event is about, but we want to make sure you have a ticket so you can cover it for the Bilerico Project (Browning’s blog). We want Bilerico Project to be there for this one,” teased the campaign.
Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and Delaware Senator Joe Biden have also been mentioned as top potential running mates for Obama recently.
