New High School Musical 3 Shooting Details, Plus 4th Confirmed?

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron will star in High School Musical 3If you’ve been wondering where Vanessa Hudgens And Zac Efron will be shooting High School Musical 3 in 2008, then wonder no more.

“High School Musical (3) will be officially shooting in Utah,” confirmed Lisa Roskelly, spokeswoman for Utah Governor John Huntsman Jr. yesterday.

As had been previously reported, HSM 3 will be released theatrically in 2008.  The 41 day shoot will begin on April 21 and should wrap on June 13, according to the official documents filed. 

It cost a pretty penny to keep production in Utah; it’s reported that the Governor’s Office of Economic Development board approved a maximum $2 million incentive to keep Disney happy with the state.

The state provided $263,000 in incentives for the original HSM and $500,000 for HSM 2.  

The Salt Lake Tribune is also reporting that “A fourth movie, called Haunted High School Musical, also is planned.”  However, this was one of the original working titles for HSM3, and we suspect this might be an innocent error in their reporting.  

Disney has yet to confirm a 4th film in the series.

    I can’t wait for HSM3 to come in theaters and bring back all of the 10 origianl cast members of the first to movies. I hope that there will be the 4th installement of High School Musical. Maybe, the east high wildcats in college they could call it High School Musical:The college years. I would like to see a wedding between Troy and Gabriella.
